So here is the winner announcement. Before I announce, I would like you all to know that I had MANY MANY amazing entries, which was extremely unexpected. However, I did decide on three. These three people will now have won a free makeover by UglyMePretty, AND a photoshoot! PLEASE email kenziekreator@gmail.com once you have found out if you have won so we can schedule a makeover and photoshoot. If you don't contact me, I will just assume you don't want the prize. Prize winnings can be claimed up until the end of summer 2014, so you can choose what type of year. You can also use the winnings as a makeover for Prom, a date, and so on, so forth. Reminder and UPDATES!

Hey ya'll!

Just a reminder about the "Homecoming Competition''! Pictures are due 10/20 BEFORE MIDNIGHT! I want to see some gorgeous dresses, beautifully done makeup, and some awesome hair :)

In other news, my BUSINESS CARDS should be coming in the mail sometime today or tomorrow, AND I have "The Balm 'Nude 'tude eyeshadow palette" coming in the mail, as well! I only paid $22 dollars for it, including shipping, and it goes for $36 BEFORE shipping on "The Balm"'s website, so I'm pretty excited about that. I'll be sharing with you all how I got it for so cheap :)

Apparently this palette is BETTER than the naked2 urban decay palette... I'll be the judge of that. ;P

Retail Therapy

Yesterday was a ROUGH DAY. We all have them. And sometimes, it feels like our lives are crumbling around us, when really, you just dropped half your oreo in your milk. (WHICH SUCKS.)

Well, anyway, yesterday wasn't going so well, so I decided to do a bit of retail therapy, and I picked up a few things to add to my makeup collection :)

Blue Eyed Beauty!

MY FIRST MAKEUP ARTIST ATTEMPT SINCE HS. IT'S BEEN YEARS!!!

I was fortunate enough to do a friend's makeup this evening, and WE HAD A BLAST. We decided to go for a somewhat natural look, so we used the Urban Decay Naked Pallette. We also used the black ELF eyeliner goop in the little jar, and gold eyeliner from my 2012 Sephora Blockbuster box. The mascara is Benefit They're Real. SHE LOVED THE MASCARA!!! It was a hit!

After downloading the photos, I'm realizing how much more of an  impact this would have been to do before shots. OH WELL! Looks like I learned my lesson :) There will be before shots from now on!

 This blue eyed beaut' had these magnificent doll eyes that were MUCH differently shaped than mine, which you will see later! But I loved doing a mini cat-eye on her because of it! It definitely opened up her eyes and showed off her natural blue eyes!

 The gold liner was a last minute add. I figured I would add a little spunk to it, just like her!

That mascara was her favorite thing in the world. It just makes me feel better about my purchase.

Hello dear uglies! 

So sorry for the late blog post- Some sad news, I was going to film and post a tutorial tonight, but it seems I have caught the bug that has going around. :(

However, I will still be showing you guys some fun stuff that I have done recently! On Thursday, me and one of my girlfriends Dania decided to go to Ulta for the recent sale, and I picked up some great stuff!

So, here's my Ulta Haul!

In this haul, I purchased:

• 7.5mL Benefit "that gal" brightening face primer
• 4.0 g/.14 oz Benefit they're real mascara
• 2.03 fl. oz/60 mL NYX matte finish setting spray

• Ulta eye liner brush
• Ulta crease brush
• The Ulta "autumn" face kit bag which included : Ulta Plush Drama VOLUME MASCARA in jet black, Ulta Sunkissed cheek blush/bronzer, Ulta neutral eyeshadow quad in BONE, ICE QUEEN, TRUFFLE, and GUNMETAL
• Ulta lipcolor lipstick in #227 CAPPUCCINO
• Ulta super shiny lipgloss in #07 FLIRTINI

ALL for under $85! :D

 

EXCITING, RIGHT?!!

 Here's the inside of the travelling case, I love the separate brush/liner pockets!

 I thought this would be a great deal, to be able to try out two different products for you guys for 12 bucks.

I can tell you already, I LOVE this mascara. 

New eye brushes, YAY!

The Ulta "Autumn" kit. Only 9.99! 

 In order, BONE, which is pretty much nude on my skin, TRUFFLE, ICEQUEEN, and then GUNMETAL.

 I love how sunkissed this sunkissed blush/bronzer looks on me. Can't wait to contour with it, a bit!

 After trying the smaller version of this, definitely going to invest in the larger size. LOVE IT! Looks like you're wearing falsies :)

In order, the cappucino lipstick, and then the flirtini lipgloss. I love how sheer this pink in the flirtini is.



Well, in the next update, I'll review more of these products and let you know how great, or not-so-great they may be....

More ideas, already!

You all have already given me an overwhelming amount of ideas!

Here's some more of what to look forward to! :D

Look forward to also seeing a Jennifer Lawrence/hunger games inspired look ;)


Also, a nice beachy/light hawaii inspired look!


As well as a "Hawaii at night" look. I want to keep this one a surprise, so no picture for now ;)

And what about HALLOWEEN?!! Oh yeah, those crazy awesome Halloween looks are definitely coming your way. Want blood? Or just big and beautiful bold looks? You're gonna get 'em. :)

Some other things to look forward to:

• Makeup through the years! 

A look from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and then a 2013 look to finish.

• Breaking the rules!

Making those colors you really SHOULD'NT wear look AMAZING on YOU.

• AHHH, I broke out!

What to do when those red bumps just won't seem to fade underneath your normal makeup routine, and how to AVOID those awful bumps in the first place!

• I only got 3 hours of sleep...

Trust me, we have the tips to make those dark circles go away... and the colors to wear to detract from those red, bloodshot eyes!

• Okay, my makeup looks great, but WHAT DO I WEAR?!

One of my best girlfriends, Nicki Clifford, will be making guest appearances on my blog to show you some great looks to match with these makeup looks! And trust me, she knows what she is doing!

• I only have one go-to look, how do I venture out??

We'll be matching YOUR face (complexion, shape, etc.) to celebrities and models so that you can do some digging to find some looks! But it doesn't stop there... I'll be giving out makeovers so that you have FEEL and SEE IN PERSON what looks good on you. Is this getting more exciting now, or WHAT?

Drawing Inspirations!

Hello Divas!

Wow, this feels good. To get my hands back on the keyboard, to talk to other girls/women that are inspired by makeup, skincare, and overall beauty. I am so excited to get this started! Well, the point of this first post is to show you what will be coming up. With these few ideas, I want you to get inspired and come up with some other ideas I can play with to show you. I will be taking more simple looks to start, and progressively adding some more difficult looks. 

Look #1

Rachel McAdams from The Notebook. This sultry, 1940's inspired look is simple, yet elegant, and can be used for daytime, as well as night time!

Look #2

The Kardashian. It's easier than it looks, folks. I'm super excited about this one.

Look #3 

The sexy "Alessandra Ambrosio"... This look will include contouring tips, as well as creating that golden smokey eye. Yum!

Look #4

I'm calling this one the "French Smolder"... for obvious reasons. The combination of the bold eye and subtle pink lip makes her eyes look INTENSE. 

...and last but not least...


Look #5

Candy. "Whaaaaa?" That's right. The last look will be inspired by yummy, sugary, delicious, colorful candy. 

So here's where you come in. I need help. What other looks should I start planning on? Other characters from movies? Models? Tv characters? Maybe even your favorite type of food- I want all of your inspiration! I want this blog to be driven by YOU!
